A day spent with the team at the Lady Trieu Gin distillery in Ho Chi Minh, December 2022.

Assistant distiller Nguyen Ngoc Minh Hien is fresh out of uni and one of the youngest distillers in Asia.
Having been under the tutelage of Adam Westbrook for the last 3 years at Lady Trieu she, Adam and the team are forging some incredible juice, of which juniper is the only foreign sourced botanical used across their entire range.

Every other botanical is sourced within Vietnam and some are sourced directly from friends and family of the distillery team.

Hair nets and knock off crocs, Vhau Tran running and cutting the day’s distillation, Vietnamese hot pot lunch organised but the team, messing around with a sticky rice and Pandan Rượu nếp in the Trieu lab and a full range tasting with Westy, Hien & co.
